Delete your account

You can delete your Cubby account and its data at any time. There are two ways to do it.

Option 1 — In the app (fastest)

Open Cubby and sign in.
Go to Settings.
Tap Delete account and confirm.

Your account and data are removed immediately. This can’t be undone.

Option 2 — By email

If you can’t access the app, email support@usecubbyapp.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We’ll verify it’s you and delete the account within 30 days.

Deleting some data without deleting your account

You don’t have to delete your whole account to remove data. In the app you can delete any individual tool, place, or friendship at any time — the deletion takes effect immediately. You can also email support@usecubbyapp.com to request deletion of specific data.

What gets deleted

Your profile — name and email address
Your tools and storage places
Your friends and friend requests
Your lending and borrowing records

Tools you’ve lent out

If you delete your account while a friend still has a tool you lent them, that tool is marked “owner left”in their app so it isn’t stranded mid-borrow. They have 3 days to keep it — the app shows them a countdown. After that the record is deleted automatically, which normally completes within 24 hours of the deadline.

Data retention

Deletion removes your data from the live service right away. Residual copies in backups or logs are purged on a rolling basis within a limited period and are not used for any other purpose.
